Is there a patch of waste land near you that you’d love to have tidied up? Or an area near your school or community centre you’d love to turn into a garden? Then we want to hear from you.
We’ve been asking you to Love Your City by disposing of your waste properly. Now we want to give something back. This autumn our environmental services managers will be swapping their business suits for overalls to spend a day transforming a corner of Newcastle.
We’re looking for a project that will make a big difference to the local community. We’re happy to do things like cleaning up, painting and planting but we can’t do major building work and we must be able to finish the project in a day.
If you’ve got something you think fits the bill, then write to us at Freepost Citylife or e-mail us at ourNewcastle@newcastle.gov.uk, to arrive no later than Tuesday 27 July.
You need to tell us what needs to be done and where and why you think it’s worth doing. And you have to be willing to give us a hand on the day!
We’ll look at all your suggestions and choose the project we think will have the biggest impact on the local community.
