Why do we need a council magazine?
Newcastle is a busy and vibrant city and Newcastle City Council is constantly working to make the city a better place to live, work and visit.
Citylife is a great way of keeping you informed about all these exciting developments.
Residents are not always aware of all the services we deliver. It is important that when you need to know about particular services, you have up to date information. Citylife helps you to do this.
Surveys and questionnaires published in Citylife also give you the chance to have your say how this work should develop.
In our 2009 survey, more than three quarters of residents who received Citylife said they read every issue. Of these people over 90% said they found the information useful and 95% said they enjoyed reading it.
Can I advertise in Citylife?
Yes, we include some free listings for local events and have a community news page. We also take paid advertisements. For more information email: citylife@newcastle.gov.uk or go to our web page on advertising rates and deadlines.
